About the Client

Pleo was founded in Copenhagen in 2015 by fintech veterans Jeppe Rindom and Niccolo Perra. Since its inception, the company has rapidly expanded, growing into a business with over 1,000 international employees. Pleo provides smart company cards and expense management solutions to more than 30,000 businesses across 16 European countries, helping companies streamline their financial operations efficiently.

The Business Need

Pleo recently launched new company values and identified a set of self-leadership and people manager behaviours linked to these values.

Whilst using different touch points to embed their behaviours and values, Pleo wanted to make it easy for people to build required self-leadership and people leadership skills, when a gap is identified, through different learning opportunities.

Pleo were looking to focus on upskilling their people manager population and build a customized people leadership learning journey for their future senior leaders who can help drive Pleo’s people agenda, strengthen engagement and provide a consistent employee experience.

The Solution

We partnered with Pleo to co-create a bespoke 12-week leadership program that utilises a blended learning approach to enable Pleo’s people leaders to live their leadership behaviours, understand and take ownership of internal people processes and contribute to keeping Pleo financial and organizational healthy.

It was essential that the programme seamlessly linked with Pleo’s unique operating module, new values and identified leadership behaviours so three bespoke and fully tailored modules were designed.

The programme was delivered through a comprehensive blend of content which used the latest trends in learning theory, methods and technologies and involved a fully blended approach of in-person & virtual workshops, group coaching, videos, learning nudges & mini-missions, senior leadership involvement and assessments.

The Results

The programme is currently being delivered, with three cohorts completed in 2023, five cohorts completed in 2024 and two cohorts to be delivered in 2025.

Initial programme evaluation is hugely positive with feedback and assessment data showing a clear positive impact on leader behaviours and competencies

  • 100% of respondents’ have rated themselves as confident after attending the programme.
  • All cohort’s scores improved between assessment 1 and 2
  • 4.5/5 average participant feedback rating.
  • All people manager behaviours have strengthened as a result of the programme.

“I think this programme will have an immeasurable impact to leaders. I have taken some fresh content that has opened my eyes to changes I need to make. The way in which the content is delivered has been fantastic”

“The face-to-face sessions were fantastic. Really engaging and really helped me to reflect on myself as a Manager.”
